Irish Students Expand Participation in China Summer Camps | | |
| Irish student involvement in Chinese summer camps has grown year on year, reflecting both the appeal of immersive cultural exchange and the strengthening links between Ireland and China. In summer 2025, multiple Irish students took part in a variety of themed programs across China, including the renowned Shaolin Temple and Chinese Poetry Camp in Henan from July 22–31. This year-over-year growth in participation extends beyond Henan. Irish students are joining multiple camps in locations such as Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, and beyond, experiencing everything from language and arts to STEM and diplomatic studies. |

Many events welcome participation in multiple sessions to maximise partnership and market development. Key Q4 2025 Events at a Glance - September: Qingdao International Consumer Electronics Expo Sep 19–21, 2025, Qingdao International Convention and Exhibition CenterFinal spaces available for Irish and European businesses in electronics, smart technology, and digital solutions. - Phase 3 is especially relevant for tourism, culture, and lifestyle sectors, featuring apparel, creative products, cultural tourism, family goods, toys, and health products—ideal for Irish and European travel and culture businesses to connect with Chinese partners.
- Oct 30 – Nov 1: GBA International Trade in Services Expo – Zhuhai A flagship event in the Greater Bay Area, focusing on tourism, digital services, finance, logistics, and healthcare innovation.
- Mid-November (TBC): Global Sourcing & Investment Conference – Changsha Dedicated to trade promotion, supply chain diversification, and investment matchmaking—timing to be confirmed.
- Mid-November (TBC): Greater Bay Area Cultural & Tourism FAM Tour A professional familiarisation trip for those looking to deepen ties with GBA cultural and tourism leaders.
- Dec 3–6: International AI Summit & Expo – Zhuhai & Macao A top-tier meeting for advances in AI, big data, and smart tourism, with participation and speaking opportunities for European delegates.
Businesses and organisations are encouraged to participate in two or more events to strengthen visibility, build multiple partnerships, and explore diverse sectors. Prioritise the Canton Fair’s third phase if you are in tourism, lifestyle, or cultural industries. |
