ICCTA Summer Update 2025

Tourism momentum, business platforms and late-summer partnership signals

Business Platforms

China Expo Participation Opens Broader Commercial Dialogue

Summer activity also included Irish participation in major China-facing business platforms, including the China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing and the International Service Outsourcing Expo in Wuhan.

Together, these events showed how Irish business engagement in China continues to span advanced manufacturing, digital solutions, biopharma, medtech and service innovation.

For ICCTA, these moments are relevant not only as trade stories, but as part of a wider ecosystem where business exchange, destination links and long-term cooperation often reinforce one another.

Late-Summer Signal

Shanxi Links and Asian Tourism Insight Point to the Next Phase

By late summer, the focus had already begun to shift toward autumn opportunity. The Shanxi delegation visit to County Meath offered another practical example of sub-national partnership building across energy, agriculture, tourism and investment.

At the same time, ICCTA shared new tourism insight suggesting that Asian visitor growth could become an increasingly important opportunity for Ireland if products, outreach and digital access are aligned more effectively.

Taken together, these updates made the summer issue more than a recap: they framed the next phase of outreach, participation and market preparation for members and partners.
