Film and Festival Programming Deepen the Cultural Conversation
The season also featured a strong cultural exchange angle through the Dublin International Film Festival and its Hong Kong screening and reception programme.
This kind of event extends the cultural conversation beyond community celebration and into the wider arts ecosystem, bringing together film audiences, cultural organisations and international partners.
It is a good example of how Ireland-China engagement can also be strengthened through curated cultural platforms that feel open, contemporary and outward-facing.

Youth Exchange and GSIS Point Toward the Year Ahead
Looking beyond the festival season, the issue pointed toward two important future-facing directions: youth exchange and business platform participation.
The YES 2025 programme highlighted the long-term value of educational links, while GSIS 2025 in Langfang offered a practical route for members and partners interested in trade, sourcing and strategic introductions in China.
Together, these opportunities helped set the tone for the year: cultural exchange remains important, but it also opens into education, business and longer-term relationship-building.
