Travel product cooperation
The expo created a practical setting to discuss Ireland and Europe-facing itineraries, themed journeys and partner-ready tourism products for the China market.
New links for Ireland-China tourism cooperation. In April 2026, ICCTA joined the 14th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo and used the event to connect tourism, hospitality and cross-border cooperation opportunities.
MITE Macao brings together destination organisations, travel trade, hospitality operators and tourism-service partners from across the region. For ICCTA, it offered a strong platform for practical conversations around route development, hospitality exchange and Ireland-Europe market access.
During the expo, ICCTA signed cooperation agreements with Nanchang Qinghuai Technology / QuYe Travel and the Macao Hotel Association. The new links open room for future itinerary development, hospitality-sector exchange, market introductions and wider cultural tourism cooperation.
The Macao visit also reflects a wider ICCTA approach: using trade events, destination promotion and partner follow-up to turn one meeting into longer-term cooperation.

The value of the Macao visit lies not only in attendance, but in the follow-up pathways it created.
The expo created a practical setting to discuss Ireland and Europe-facing itineraries, themed journeys and partner-ready tourism products for the China market.
Conversations with Macao hospitality partners opened useful ground for future exchange in reception standards, service experience and visitor-facing cooperation.
ICCTA's local network in Ireland and Europe helps turn trade-fair introductions into follow-up visits, partner meetings, market communication and project support.
